Responsible for ensuring data completeness and data quality of the project Single Source of Truth throughout the phases of a Workload and Cloud Migration.
Responsibilities
• Ensure the SSoT (Single-Source-of-Truth) data repository is correct, current, and complete for all Source workloads (apps/servers) at all times;
• Ensure the SSoT (Single-Source-of-Truth) data repository is correct, current, and complete for all Target workloads (apps/servers) at all times;
• Ensure that data required for design, build and execution is ready and accessible for all migration project resources
• Ensure that all project resources are kept apprised of the current state of the data within the SSoT.
Responsibility Details
• Responsible for the installation and administration of the SSoT Tool in use for the project as architected by the Workload Migration and Assessment Engine (WAME)
• Responsible for pre-configuration of any standard data elements within the SSoT
• Responsible for uploading data from the various discovery tools into the SSoT
• Responsible for ensuring the currency of the data in the SSoT
• Responsible for training project personnel in the use of the SSoT Tool
• Responsible for working with Consulting, Engineering, Applications
Transformation and Migration Services to understand the current state of the data and determining which data values are missing
• Generates Source to Target reports, Master Device List and Data Completeness/Quality Reports on a regular basis for use by project team
• Will work with Capacity Management team to ensure sufficient capacity exists for current and future needs of the project
• Will review contents of SSoT to ensure all element of the project scope are understood and confirmed
• Will review contents of SSoT to identify inconsistencies between Source and Target configurations

Education and Experience Required
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience with a consistent record of significant contribution level to the business, the company services technical community, and/or the industry
Technical Skills and Experiences:
Prerequisites: (applicant must meet all to qualify)
• Meets degree educational requirements such as Information Technology and Services , Computer Software, Computer & Network Security , Engineering fields or has equivalent work experience for job code
• 3-5+ years’ experience in technical IT (preferably in datacenter)
• 2+ years’ experience related to datacenter migrations with full ownership of migration projects (strong experience in all types of migrations, levels of difficulty, highly technical, and also migrations from 500 – 24,000 servers or more for example)
• Understanding of the data required to perform a data center migration
• Ability to learn new tools in a timely manner and to become a Subject Matter Expert in their installation and use
• Microsoft SQL Server SQL Scripting (creation and execution)
• Experience with ETL or similar data manipulation tools (e.g. IBM DataStage, Informatica, AB Initio, Talend, MooD)
• Understanding of configuration management principles
• Strong Excel skills

Additional skills desired but not essential:
• MS SharePoint
• Data Modelling experience
• Good understanding of Application Contexting process
• Basic understanding of configuration management tools (e.g. ESL, uCMDB, Atrium)
• Basic understanding of data gathering tools (e.g. Universal Discovery, Netscout, ADDM)
• Use of migration tools such as DoubleTake, PlateSpin, AppZero, Zerto, RACEMI
• Demonstrates strong communication skills (written and oral)
• Capable of working with virtual teams across regions and time zones
• Proven ability to work in cross-cultural environments
• Able to deal with complex issues involving customers and vendors
