Responsible for Managing the Planning and Purchasing for MicroVention Costa Rica, in coordination with global demand planning and global purchasing teams across the globe. Lead the capacity analysis at Costa Rica, provide production schedules, ensure raw material availability for production and drive BOM cost reductions. Maintain optimum inventory levels of Finished Goods and sub-assemblies

1. Ensure raw material availability for the production plan.
2. Ensure all plant purchasing needs such as consumables, gowning and facility purchases are met.
3. Drive Purchasing cost reduction initiatives to meet annual goals.
4. Guide the evaluation and preparation of raw material forecast for the site.
5. Influence global purchasing to expedite materials, resolve quality issues, and shortages.
6. Establish site specific guidelines for production scheduling detailed by SKU, and provide production with a monthly build plan.
7. Manage and maintain an efficient inventory level for Sub-assemblies and FG products.
8. Coordinate commercialization and scheduling of new product rollout at the site.
9. Review with Industrial Engineering the requirements against capacity for the plant and escalate any issues that could affect the execution of the manufacturing plan.
10. Institute documented processes and procedures for planning and site purchasing teams.
11. Maintains exemplary customer service levels.
12. Develops and reports relevant performance metrics.
13. Ensures a safe work environment for his/her department.
14. Mentor and develop a team of planners and purchasing buyers to establish best practices in supply chain planning and global procurement.

16. Proven management leadership, negotiation, team facilitation and communication skills.
17. High level of technical acuity and good analytical skills
18. Strong computer knowledge, including MS Office and JD Edwards or similar ERP
19. Must work well in a global matrix environment with minimal direction
20. APICS Certification preferred.
21. Minimum 6 years of professional experience in Planning and Purchasing, and 1 year of leadership of supervisory responsibility.
