The SEO link specialist will work with the Sr. SEO Specialist in increasing our website’s
rankings primarily by increasing the number and quality of links pointed to these properties
via mentions, articles and brand awareness . The Link specialist’s efforts will increase traffic
per year to our websites and will contribute meaningful business value.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
The SEO Link specialist will be responsible for the full-cycle of link-building initiatives:
planning, coordinating, executing, tracking, analyzing, and then repeating. Examples of
these responsibilities would include:
? Contacting relevant blogs/news outlets to get them writing about our product’s
websites
? Getting how-to & resource-oriented websites to link to our sites
? Submitting sites to relevant web-directories
? Coordinating guest-posts for our expert-writers onto other websites
? Developing & implementing other ways to acquire incoming website links
? Maintaining link database to ensure links are still live
? Research competitors efforts to gauge their ranking success and link velocity
? Research link velocity reports to monitor our link velocity to our competitors
? Maintain link database tool by monitoring our website’s healthy link landscape and
disavowing any lack luster links
? Maintain keyword database to monitor keyword performance based on link
acquisitions.
? Excellent communication – comfortable with being on the phone and communicating
through emails
? Basic understanding of SEO principles
? Organization and good judgment
? Web savvy
? Positive attitude with an optimistic and energetic disposition
? Ability to handle complex problems by research
? Multi-tasking and good MS Office skills
? Ability to complete assigned tasks within deadlines and learn advanced strategies
? Ability to research latest link building methodologies
? Must be able to work legally in Costa Rica
? This is not a telecommuting position; 9 hours a day including 1 hour for lunch
? Must be open to have fun at work
