Sr. equipment and software design engineer

Descripción general

This position supports the design and manufacturing of equipment needed to produce medical devices. This position also supports the software designs and software implementations for MicroVention Costa Rica. This is to include the writing of equipment/software specifications, designing and documenting equipment/software, drawing and maintaining schematics. It will also require the developing of equipment based process, designing automated/semi-automated equipment/softwares and complex fixturing, writing equipment specifications and performing
IQ / OQ.

1. Supports more complex, existing manufacturing and R&D equipment
2. Supports validation of product, equipment, software and processes
3. Interfaces with other departments to solve equipment-related problems
4. Supports prototype and pilot production, facilities and planning, when appropriate
5. Coordinate IT on new software developments and during the development and implementation stage
6. Additional duties as assigned
7. Reads and prepares technical documentation
8. Basic familiarity with programming languages such as Ladder Logic, C+, Java, as well as HTML style programming
9. Computer skills including Word, Excel and SolidWorks, (AutoCad a plus)
