The System Administrator will be a part of a team of infrastructure and application administrators supporting the Marketing Services Linux Infrastructure.

The function of the role is to provide Linux systems administration and support for engineering projects, infrastructure and development. The role will be focused on automation, building for scale, and fault tolerant/resilient systems. This role will also focus on technologies such as Puppet, AWS, SAN/NAS, and other technologies. This is a highly challenging and progressive team environment with an opportunity to work alongside infrastructure engineers and architects.

The System Administrator will be a part of an on-call rotation schedule and will be expected to respond to after-hours and weekend issues as they occur.

***Required Skills
--Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering Discipline, or relevant experience
--3+ years’ experience with supporting open-source infrastructure, systems administration, as well as hardware and software troubleshooting
--Solid understanding of Linux system administration
--Experience with Puppet
--Experience with virtualization technologies
--Strong experience with DNS and DHCP technologies
--Experience with Shell
--Experience with system performance monitoring & fine-tuning
--Experience with backup technologies
--Proven technical experience and a solid foundation in operating systems
--Strong work ethic and have a natural tendency to take ownership of incidents & requests
--Good team communication skills, with technical and non-technical colleagues
***Highly Desired Skills
--Experience with AWS
--Experience with Splunk or ELK
--Experience with Hadoop
--Experience working with SAN/NAS storage environments
--Experience with JIRA
--Experience in programming languages (Perl and Python are a plus)
--ITIL certification or working knowledge
--Experience with Linux system administration such as Red Hat / CentOS a plus
--Experience in Oracle a plus
