Accounting Manager
The accounting Manager will oversee the accounting department functions with a focus on ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial statements and reporting. The Accounting Manager’s goal is to fulfill revenue objectives and adhere to accounting and reporting policy.
Duties and responsibilities
• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, audit and taxes
• Implement the accounting system based on local regulatory requirements and guidance from Corporate US company
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting and auditing activities
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Format, summarize, and prepare financial reporting to Corporate US company and Ultimate Parent Entity in timely manner
• Minimize legally required taxes by studying regulations, presenting tax strategies and filing returns
• Manage the accounting/finance staff
• Manage financial transactions
• Assess current practices and procedures to make recommendations for improvement
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Manage the preparation of weekly cash forecasting for funding purposes
• Manage the preparation of import and export reconciliations of invoice documents
• Manage other duties and responsibilities as required
Requirements
• Good English skills both verbal and written
• Minimum 5-7 years working in Accounting
• Minimum 2 years in management
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Strong skill in excel and Microsoft Office
• Experience with Costa Rica Government regulations
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Knowledge of software for Accounting and Payroll
• Experience with an International company
