Functions
•Support on the management of the fixed assets of the company.
• Understand worldwide accounting operations.
• Maintain in-country and US Fixed Asset subledgers to accurately reflect monthly activity.
• Adheres to guidelines for acquisition, maintenance, retention and disposition of fixed assets and associated records.
• Maintains perpetual inventory records in the fixed asset management system.
• Performs basic periodic system functions such as calculating period depreciation, projecting depreciation amounts into future periods.
• Coordinates and performs scheduled and periodic physical inventories by locating and counting assets, loading field inventory results, and reconciling exceptions.
• Review and prepare monthly reconciliations. consolidated overview of company-wide reconciliations.
• Support to address all fixed asset related audit and tax queries.
• Assist during monthly close with push down Journal entries such as Depreciation, Asset Transfers, Disposals
 
Requirements:

*Bachelor´s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
*2+ (two+) years of progressive work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation is a plus.
*Experience working in the International Retail market in Latin America and/or in the Caribbean.
*Proven knowledge and experience using the JD Edwards system.
*Must be fluent in both English and Spanish.
*Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
*Travel required.
*Assist with Fixed Assets – actual and future software.
*Escalation of questions, situations, issues, others.
*High focus on order and productivity.
*Problem solving.
