Descripción general

This role gives YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, the main of these are:
• Drive delivery and performance of Financial Reporting activities locally (high end) and at the Business Process Outsource BPO (General Ledger, Period End Close and Balance Sheet Reconciliation activities) for a set of given markets
• Accountable for day to day BPO delivery of operations, designing, embedding and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level agreements (SLAs), ensuring customer issues are identified and promptly resolved and proactively identifying any issues or risks to the service.
• Be outward facing to customers, responsible for the complete, accurate and timely delivery of the month end, quarter end and year end corporate reporting in line with standard accounting practices and group policies and procedures for a set of given markets. This role will also manage the Balance Sheet and ensure quality balance sheet reconciliations are performed and drive resolution of pending items.
• Monitor BPO capabilities, identifying training requirements, attrition risks and deploying plans accordingly
• Escalate issues through Finance governance, including Service Alerts where required, having clearly identify blockers, support required and proposing solutions
• Participate into or lead smaller Financial Reporting projects in collaboration with Global Process Owners, Global Finance Transformation teams and other departments
• Embed Management Monitoring to ensure internal controls are designed and working effectively and regulatory compliance requirements (including SOX requirements) are met.
• Manage a team of Senior Financial Accountants and Accountants, always in alignment with GSK Values & Expectations.

Requisitos para aplicar

Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these characteristics to achieve our goals:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
• Working knowledge of IFRS
• Proven experience in Financial Reporting and / or Audit Firm (5 years experience minimum)
• Ability to comprehend financial data in a relevant and concise way.
• Experience of working in a Shared Service Environment and / or experience of managing of BPO for a sizeable company
• English Level C1
• Ability to identify & resolve issues, regardless of organisational boundaries
• Effective communication skills and ability to interact with & influence providers and customers remotely

Preferred Qualifications: include here the characteristics that will be consider a plus
However, if you have the following, it would be a plus (Preferred Requirements)
• Experience of working in a Control / SOX environment.
• Previous experience of SAP.
