Your Responsibilities:
This role gives YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, the main of these are:
• Drive delivery and performance of Financial Reporting activities (General Ledger, Period End Close and Balance Sheet Reconciliation activities) for the US Pharmaceuticals business.
• Be in line with standard accounting practices and group policies
• Accountable for the reporting of financial results for the entities responsible for, including commentary of balance sheet - Perform variance analysis for Balance Sheet. This role will oversee the Balance Sheet and must ensure quality balance sheet reconciliations are performed and drive resolution of pending items as needed.
• Participate & contribute in business review meetings as appropriate
• Drive the closure of open issues and escalations and ensure preventative measures are in place to prevent re-occurrence
• Support the controlling team and operations center in all aspects of the financial month end review process, including facilitating month end issue resolutions/ & escalations.
The US finance specialist supports the relevant Hub Regional Financial Controller for their Business Unit and Markets by delivering right first-time reporting and analysis which is insightful, fast and supports the business to develop accurate plans in a strong controls and assurance environment.
Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these characteristics to achieve our goals:
• Qualified Finance, Accountant, Business Administration or related bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 5 years of extensive post qualification experience, preferably within a similar operating model and the same sector.
• Ability to comprehend financial data in a relevant and concise way.
• Experience working in a Shared Service Environment
• Advanced English Level
• SAP ERP system
• Ability to identify & resolve issues, regardless of organizational boundaries
• Effective communication skills and ability to interact with & influence providers and customers remotely
Preferred Qualifications:
However, if you have the following, it would be a plus:
• Experience of working in a Control / SOX environment.
