Plan, direct and coordinate all accounting operational functions, including monitoring and oversight of the entire accounting cycle for the Costa Rica plant
Maintain and provide timely and reliable monthly financial results, including performance of budget variance analysis
Review and implement the necessary accounting process as required by the Costa Rican authorities
Maintain documentation of all the procedures performed by the accounting department
Manage capital spend and daily bank balances, including payment processing review, short-term cash flow projection and intercompany invoice billings
Assess staffing resource requirements, responsible for hiring and supervising junior accounting team members
Responsible for all government related compliance requirements, including statutory audits, corporate income tax filings, etc.
Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and executing accounting policies and procedures and internal controls.
Support internal and external information requests for compliance and operational effectiveness including develop a strong rapport with all levels of the organization
Assist and oversee the payroll function and the applicable statutory filings and withholdings
Ensure Company financial records, under responsibility, are maintained in compliance with accounting standards
Maintain a thorough understanding of the business operations, financial reporting and general ledger structure
Assist the Global FP&A team during the budgeting process for the Costa Rica division, specifically on inventory standard costing
Lead special projects, perform ad hoc analysis, process improvements and other duties as requested
Adhere to and promote the adherence to all Corporate, Quality and Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Other duties as required.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in the Finance & Accounting. Experience in the healthcare manufacturing industry would be considered an asset
Business/accounting degree with a professional accountant designation
Strong accounting technical knowledge, including budgeting, inventory and standard costing
Advanced knowledge with use of Microsoft suite of software. Experience with Epicor ERP and/or accounting standards conversion project would be considered an asset
