SGF Global is looking for a Tax Assistant in La Ribera Belén

The Company`s Tax Department is looking for a strong candidate to support its Tax Team in Costa Rica. Candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Performs routine administrative duties: placing & receiving telephone calls; typing, filing, faxing, copying, handling incoming and outgoing mail, setting up meeting, booking conference rooms, corresponding with both internal and external business partners

• Performs Iow-volume data entry

• Accesses information from a computer and/or maintains a computer database to format and produce business documents/files

• Prepares filed returns and completed works for archiving using proper naming conventions and formats

• Assists Tax Team with complex and diversified project related activities

• Make Business License & other needed payments

• Pulls transaction source documents and compiling information for the team

• Provide audit support, assists with refund claims, responds to customer/client requests or escalations as they occur, support Company's Vendor Tax Short Pay Process, develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education, judgement and business acumen


• Strong capability of working with all Microsoft tools (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, etc.) and able to quickly learn internal Company-specific tools, (i.e. Enable, Taxware, Anybill, Workday, EDDAR, etc.)

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of SAP

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written in English and Spanish with attention to detail and customer oriented

• Quickly and accurately assess the importance of a phone call, email, or document and take appropriate action to involve the appropriate parties

• Innovative and flexibility in managing complex situations on a day-to-day basis; always looking to improve efficiencies and embrace change

• Execute to deadlines, set goals, and continue to drive issues until resolved/closed, leave no open items

• Self-driven indiv
