Descripción The International Logistics Lead will be responsible for overseeing and managing end-to-end import and export operations to and from the United States, ensuring compliance with international regulations, efficiency across the supply chain, and strong relationships with vendors, clients, and strategic partners. This role will also lead and develop the logistics team, aligning efforts with corporate objectives and maintaining high service standards. Key Responsibilities • End-to-end logistics management: Plan, coordinate, and supervise all import/export processes, ensuring compliance with U.S. customs and international trade regulations. • Supply chain optimization: Implement strategies to improve costs, delivery times, traceability, and overall efficiency in global logistics flows. • Team leadership: Direct, coach, and motivate the logistics team, assigning responsibilities and ensuring achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs). • Talent management: Conduct interviews, oversee recruitment processes, training, and performance evaluations for logistics staff. • Stakeholder management: Maintain effective communication with freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, customs brokers, and both internal and external clients. • Regulatory compliance: Ensure all operations comply with international trade agreements, U.S. customs requirements, and internal company policies. • Risk management and issue resolution: Anticipate and resolve potential issues related to delays, documentation, additional costs, or regulatory restrictions in international operations. • Reporting and analysis: Prepare regular reports on logistics performance, costs, and efficiency, while recommending continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements • Education: Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Administration, or related fields. • Experience: o At least 5 years of proven experience in international logistics (import/export with the U.S.). o Previous experience leading teams and managing talent (recruitment, feedback, and performance management). o Strong background working with international vendors, customs brokers, and transport providers. • Knowledge: o U.S. customs regulations and international trade compliance. o Proficiency in international documentation (B/L, AWB, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin). o Logistics KPIs, cost control, and supply chain optimization. o Advanced English (spoken and written). o Familiarity with logistics management software (ERP, WMS, TMS, SAP, or similar). o CargoWise experience is considered a strong plus. • Skills: o Strong leadership and multicultural team management. o Excellent communication and negotiation skills. o Analytical mindset and problem-solving orientation. o Strategic planning with the ability to work under pressure.
