Title: Clinical Study Enablement Business and Testing Analyst
About the Role:
Boston Scientific is seeking a detail-oriented Tester/Systems Analyst to join our Global Clinical IT team. This role focuses on mapping clinical trial data from source to target system, creating rules to transform data where needed to fit the target data model, and testing the data in the target system to ensure it was mapped successfully. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with Oracle databases, Tableau Reports, and data pipelines (ingestion, transformation, monitoring and validation). This role is primarily focused on testing and data mapping and not much on requirements gathering.
Your Responsibilities Include:
• Analyze clinical trial study databases to determine what data can be mapped into the target system’s data model, create those mappings and create any transformations needed using business rules.
• Validate data across Oracle databases, ETL pipelines, and Tableau reports.
• Work with business users of downstream reports to verify that the data mappings are meeting business needs.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, developers, and data engineers to understand system workflows and data sources.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and daily standups.
• Keep in-progress work items updated with status and progress.
• Maintain rigorous change control of the system.
• Utilize tools and industry advancements to suggest and implement improvements to the processes.
• Contribute to the creation of quality training materials.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices and automation opportunities.
• Provide day-to-day support to existing implementations (on call support for application).
• This is a hybrid position, working at the office 3 days per week.
What We’re Looking For:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in a QA/Tester or Data Analyst role with a strong data mapping focus.
• 4+ years of experience with clinical trial databases
• Hands-on experience validating data mapping and transformation.
• Strong SQL skills for querying and validating data
• Experience testing Tableau dashboards for data accuracy and visual integrity.
• Understanding of ETL tools and cloud environments (e.g., AWS S3, Athena).
• Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to work independently.
• Strong communication skills to interface with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in medical devices, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industries.
