POSITION DESCRIPTION – LEAD ADMINISTRATOR
POSITION OVERVIEW :
The person will Lead a team whose main responsibility is to provide support for IT Infrastructure, Security & Desktop and applications support across facilities. He would be responsible for complete customer satisfaction and required to operate across facilities.
ESSENTIAL DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support and Maintain the Technology Services
• Support End users of San Jose Operations
• Assist in IT Procurement management, Project planning, Service standards and promoting IT services.
• Providing technical direction to ensure quality systems
• Facilitating communication between all key IT / support global groups and End users
• Oversees the daily operational activities of technology systems.
• Reviews departmental requests for technology and makes recommendations, as appropriate, on alternative system options.
• Taking and processing technical services to users, investigation and resolution of complaints, and coordination of department services with other departments. Work closely with end users to ensure total satisfaction.
SHIFT RESOURCE WILL WORK:
General Shift (should be able to provide remote support during off-hours).
% OF WORK THAT IS DEVELOPMENT VS. MAINTENANCE:
70% IT Administration, 20% IT security & 10% Leading team
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION AND NECESSARY INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE:
• A Degree or Diploma in Electronics / Computer Science or Equivalent.
• MCSE / MCP - Windows 2000/2003 Certification.
• An ideal profile would be with 4-5 years of experience in IT environment.
REQUIRED SKILLS (MUST HAVE) :
• Strong Communication Skills & team player
• Problem Resolution Skills
• Strong customer service orientation
• Ability to work in a global virtual team’s environment.
• Ability to Prioritize Work aligned to business needs
DESIRED SKILLS (NICE TO HAVE IN ADDITION TO THE REQUIRED SKILL SETS) :
• Hands on experience in administering IT Services
• Exposure to working in ISO 27001 / BS7799
• Experience with ITES / BPO / Product Development Companies
