The Shared Services Center provides accounting services to the Americas region for Brightstar. The supporting functions include Record to Report, Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Reporting, Master Data Management, and Continuous Improvement. These functions are enabled by Microsoft AX, Solomon and Oracle Hyperion.

The Order to Cash area is responsible for: managing credit control of receivables ledgers, helping subsidiaries continue to develop relationships with key customers, and processing accounts receivables, credit checks, and collections when no local presence is required.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing supporting month close, reconciling AR related accounts, calculation bad debt reserve for all LATAM countries, providing guidance on accounting treatment, and documenting accounts reconciliations.

Responsibilities:
•Reconcile accounts receivable and related accounts on a monthly basis, providing follow up to any reconciling item before reaching 90 days.
•Calculate bad debt reserve according to policy, discuss and agree with local busines and Corporate Credit team.
•Timely recording of bad debt reseve approved calculation.
•Perform month end close activities timely.
•Prepare, record and document journal entries.
•Run AR integrity reports and resolve any open item for Latam operations.
•Perform Month End period closing.
•Reconcile customers accounts versus provided customers statements.
•Support the preparation of internal audit information requests.
•Ensures policies and procedures compliance and continuous improvement for all processes.
•Prepare AR aging reports and monitor resolution on any aged item.

•3 years of experience in Accounting processes
•Advanced Excel knowledge
•SAP/JDE/AX ERP knowledge
•Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish
•Manage workload and priorities independently
•Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related
