Merck Sharp & Dohme’s (MSD) Regional Delivery Centers (RDC), located across three regions (Americas, Europe, and Asia), are responsible for the timely and efficient delivery of standardized, global financial processes. The RDC – Americas in San Jose, Costa Rica will be responsible for the execution and delivery of a broad range of financial services and processes across MSD business divisions and markets for the Americas region.

The Analytics Analyst will be responsible for providing financial and business information, perform advanced analytic thinking through the implementation of dynamics statistical models, which enable the preparation and analysis of the key Business and financial Key Performance Indicators. The Analytics Analyst will support strategic initiatives and provide the tools and data necessary to measure and report productivity in the RDC. This position will work closely with RDC work stream leads to understand business requirements and translate these requirements into plans for execution and delivery.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 2 years of Finance experience required
- Business-level English and Spanish language skills (speaking and writing) required
- Experience with a Business Intelligence Application Desirable
- Experience using SAP or JDE system
- Financial background with experience in accounting processes
- SQL query experience and working knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, Teradata or SAP HANA strongly preferred
- Solid experience of leading change Strong Analytics mindset and focus
- Advanced PC skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required
- Demonstrated commitment to education and professional development
- Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with all levels of management
- Ability to operate independently and remain focused through change or uncertainty
- Problem solving skills with a proactive management style to implement new processes
- Strong knowledge of business processes supported by transaction processing capabilities
- Ability to work independently, capable of handling multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organization skills required
- Willingness to travel for meetings and projects
