Data Analyst – Commercial Product Data

The Data Analyst – Commercial Product Data plays a critical role in enabling this mission by ensuring the availability, accuracy, and consistency of trusted product information across the enterprise.

About the Team and Product

The team you will join is responsible for delivering accurate, consistent product information to internal stakeholders and customers across Boston Scientific. Our Enterprise Product Hub (EPH) is a core enterprise capability built on the Snowflake data warehouse platform, bringing together product data from multiple source systems and syndicating it to downstream enterprise platforms.
Product data is distributed both externally and internally to support a wide range of business needs. Externally, data is syndicated using industry standards such as GDSN, while internally it powers key platforms including our websites and tender response processes.
In addition, the team is responsible for managing Custom Product Groups (CPG) within the Informatica Reference 360 platform. These groupings organize products based on shared attributes and support use cases such as identifying alternative or related products.
Product information underpins over 80% of Boston Scientific’s business processes. Its accuracy and availability directly influence customer purchasing decisions, enable meaningful reporting and insights, and reinforce the strength and credibility of the Boston Scientific brand.

The Role

As a Data Analyst you will work closely with a Senior Data Analyst to research, analyze, and maintain product information used for data syndication and the creation of Custom Product Groups. You will support ongoing product lifecycle activities by updating product groupings as new products are launched and existing products are retired.
This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure product data is accurate, consistent, and fit for enterprise use.

Data Management & Quality
• Query and extract product data from multiple databases and systems, including cloud data warehouse platforms
• Research, validate, and reconcile product data across disparate source systems to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Identify data gaps, anomalies, and inconsistencies, and partner with data owners to investigate and resolve issues
• Support data quality initiatives by applying validation rules and contributing to data standards and documentation

Reporting & Insights
• Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate product data insights to stakeholders
• Analyze product data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities that support business decision-making
• Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences

Collaboration & Stakeholder Support
• Partner with product managers, engineers, quality teams, and business stakeholders to understand product data requirements
• Support product lifecycle activities through data-driven analysis and recommendations
• Present findings and recommendations in meetings, reviews, and written communications
• Enable stakeholders to correctly interpret and use product data, helping prevent misinterpretation or misuse

Pre-requisites and competencies
Strong analytical and communication skills, experience working with enterprise data across multiple systems, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. Experience with cloud data platforms, product data, and Agile delivery models is advantageous.

• Bachelor’s degree in - Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline
• 3–5+ years of experience in a data analyst, business analyst, or data-focused role within a complex enterprise environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research, interpret, and validate complex datasets
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate data insights into clear, actionable outcomes
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail, with the discipline to follow data standards, governance, and documentation practices
