Integration automation software tester

Overview
Boston Scientific’s Electrophysiology (EP) division is seeking an Automation Integration
Test Engineer to join a growing, cross-site integration team responsible for validating
software merges and ensuring stability across multiple release branches. This position
involves developing, maintaining, and executing automated integration test suites to verify
the correct behavior of merged code in a regulated medical device environment.
You’ll collaborate closely with software developers, DevOps, and manual integration
testers in both the U.S. and Costa Rica, ensuring that every software branch integration
meets quality and performance expectations before release.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain automated integration test scripts in Python (with some C++
interaction).
• Configure and execute test jobs in Jenkins as part of continuous integration
pipelines.
• Collaborate with developers to diagnose merge-related issues, perform root cause
analysis, and verify fixes.
• Use Bitbucket to manage source branches and track merge validation progress.
• Participate in software integration reviews and contribute to improving merge
strategies and test automation coverage.
• Report and track defects through Jira, ensuring clear documentation and
traceability.
• Contribute to the setup and maintenance of test environments, including
simulators and hardware-in-the-loop configurations.
• Support integration testing during release milestones and post-merge regression
phases.

Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience:
+3 years of experience in software testing or test automation.
Proficiency in Python scripting and understanding of C++ codebases.
Experience with Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Jira (or equivalent CI/CD and issue tracking tools).
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
English level: Advanced English.
