Pfizer's Global Financial Solutions (GFS) Shared Services is a well-established operation with beginnings in Memphis, Tenn., in 1997. The organization expanded to Europe in 2003, Asia in 2007, Latin America in 2013, and Eastern Europe in 2014. In 2016, GFS welcomed Cairo into its network, providing financial shared Services support to the AfME region. GFS Shared Services has a workforce of more than 900 Pfizer colleagues, in addition to a successful partnership with a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) partner, Genpact, in three locations globally.

The GFS Shared Services Center (SSC) for the Latin America Region (LAR) will be a high performing team responsible for the timely delivery of standardized financial processes on behalf of Biopharmaceutical Finance and their business partners for the Emerging Markets. The organization performs certain Record-to-Report, Invoice-to-Pay, Travel & Entertainment, Credit-to-Cash and other related activities from regionally centralized locations in San Jose, Costa Rica.

This position will support the markets for inventory accounting. This position will be responsible for GMX submissions for legal entities with complex intercompany product transactions. In addition, specific responsibilities of this position include:
• Research and resolution of complex COGS topsides,
• Lead development of continuous improvements to inventory accounting, GMX processes suchas GMX/SAP unit alignment, Samples accounting, and GRIR
• Develop training and provide to fellow colleagues on improved procedures
• Effectively manage Sales Reclass/One Face to the Customer programs to ensure accurate/timely postings to the general ledger, timely detection of errors, and coordination of remediation with BT
• Lead GFS-A annual review/analysis of PGS next year’s cost records, Research/determine root causes of sales, COGS and inventory variances between GMX and HFM and identify system/process improvements

Requisitos para aplicar

Bachelor degree required, with focus in accounting or finance preferred
• Masters degree preferred
• CPA preferred
• 3-5 years of relevant functional accounting experience
• Public accounting experience preferred
Intermediate accounting and financial reporting skills that include the following:
• Demonstrated advanced technical US GAAP and financial reporting knowledge and experience
• Advanced SAP, GMX and GRIR skills preferred
• Advanced Excel skills
• Excellent oral, written, and overall English communication skills
