The Linux and Cloud Administrator job responsibility is to proactively monitor and maintain Linux and Cloud based system for Auxis’ customers using best practices processes and methodology. Additionally, the resource is responsible for issue resolution, request fulfilment and capacity planning of the Linux and Cloud solutions.
Responsible for producing high quality deliverables in a timely fashion. Performs project management activities such as planning, sizing, and scheduling activities. Responsible for analyzing problems, developing solutions and making decisions that impact projects. Ensures systems implementations occur in accordance with established needs.
This position interacts directly with client staff to coordinate and execute operational activities; the resource may follow directions from Auxis client’s management levels as well as Auxis Service Delivery manager.

• Hardware/Software Requirements:
o Linux/Redhat
o VMWARE ESX
o Monitoring Tools Administration such as Nagios, Splunk, NewRelic among others
• General Linux (Red Hat) Administration and support
o Proactive maintenance
o Monitoring and reporting of services and logs
o Troubleshooting and resolution of outages and problems with the devices and/or operating system
o Daily, Weekly and monthly reporting of system health
o Plan, test and execution of software and code upgrades (as required and agreed)
o Creation of necessary scripting to properly monitor and manage Linux environments
• Clouds based systems Administration:
o Implementation of Cloud Solutions
o General Management of AWS environment
• Design & deploy AWS components
• Perform code deployments
• Monitoring of Logs and system performance
• Enhancement of performance
• Troubleshooting problems
• Automate operational tasks such deployments, backups, reporting and alerts among others
• Develop, maintain and support AWS services such as Opsworks, RDS, EC2, ELB, among ot

• English Language (Oral and writing)
o English language and writing skills must be of the highest quality
• US Tourist Valid Visa for potential travel to US as required (cross training, operations and/or project work)
• Resource will work Monday to Friday, mostly during business hours, Pacific Standard Time.
o Resource will adjust its local schedule with the resources supporting this position during Daylight Savings time changes in the applicable Time Zone.
• Knowledge/Training on best practices or IT frameworks, such as ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library)
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Information Systems is a plus
• 4+ years of information systems experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
• Strong experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services)
• Linux System expert
