The Network Engineer is responsible for managing and maintaining highly available LAN, WAN, Voice and Video infrastructure services used by employees worldwide.

The role is part of the Platform and Network LATAM team and, helps maintain the production, disaster recovery, and regional data-centers as part of a global team for the entire organization. The ideal candidate must volunteer ideas, share technical information and manage projects with the team and actively mentor team members and provide collaborative cross training. The engineer is expected to resolve issues efficiently, professionally, and in compliance with our established corporate computer standards and procedures. The role requires leading other technical network engineer(s) while working side-by-side on projects, tasks, and support issues.

Job Requirements:

The expected length of relevant experience beyond formal education is 6 or more years. The main responsibilities of the position include:
• Design, implementation, and management of typical enterprise network technologies (i.e. VPN, firewalls, ACS, IDS, SIEM, WiFi, Switches, routers, etc.)
• Required demonstrable expertise in the following technologies and protocols:
o Routers, Switches, Wireless Controllers, ACS, Prime, and IOS from multiple vendors (Cisco, Arista, Dell, Juniper, etc…)
o Next generation firewalls such as Fortinet and Palo Alto
o Load Balancers such as Citrix NetScalers and F5
o WAN accelerator technologies
o DNS, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, Spanning Tree, IPSec, Tunnels, ACLs, WAN acceleration, traffic shaping, QoS
• Public SSL Certificates Management, including Multi-Domain SSL Certificates (Unified Communications Certificates)
• Variety of network topologies (i.e. MPLS, SDWAN, VPN, VLAN, etc.)
• General expertise on Cloud based solutions like AWS, Azure and others (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
• General expertise on securing and hardening infrastructure including IDS, Web Content Filtering, and DLP
• General expertise on Cisco, Arista, Juniper and other major networking solutions
• General expertise with mergers and acquisitions and office relocation/expansions/consolidation
• Ability to demonstrate project management skills and coordinate tasks within the team and across third party vendors.

Minimum education and experience:

• Five years of experience in enterprise network environment
• Bachelor degree in engineering, information technology, or related discipline (significant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
• Knowledgeable in industry best practices for network security and design
• Expert at diagnostic and problem resolution
• Highly organized and able to manage technical teams and carriers
• Highly creative and innovative technologist that thrives in a team environment
• Excellent verbal commun
