Merck Sharp & Dohme’s (MSD) Regional Delivery Centers (RDC), located across three regions (Americas, Europe, and Asia), are responsible for the timely and efficient delivery of standardized, global financial processes. The RDC – Americas in San Jose, Costa Rica will be responsible for the execution and delivery of a broad range of financial services and processes across MSD business divisions and markets for the Americas region.
The PtP Disbursement Manager will be responsible to ensure the execution of AMERICAS payments according with RDC´s global process support. As part of this role the PtP Disbursement Manager should be monitor the performance of our BPO (Genpact – Kolkata) in order to ensure the quality of the services and accomplishment of services level agreement. Additionally, this position will be required to maintain a high standard of performance, analysis and follow up of all activities related to account payable process.
Position Responsibilities • Primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:Achieve required accuracy on all defined KPIs and SLA’s • Employees reimbursement process, credit card program (Visa, Amex) • Payroll payments processing and monitor. • Payments rejected and tracking on end to end processing • Custom and Tax payments according with local regulation in each country. • Ensure processing on time of payments into Bank platforms (local – foreign payments, wordlink, pre-format). • Ensure execution of Disbursement process across the region • Through daily problem resolution, identify and propose process improvement • Collaborate with various Merck/MSD organizations to resolve process and/or technical issues across multiple ERP systems • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values and standards of ethics and integrity

Education & Experience • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance or accounting department of a multinational company preferred • Business Level fluency (oral and written) in Spanish and English languages • Experience using ERP system and SAP, JD Edwards, others. • Experience using Bank Platform competency • Experience working in an organization providing services across multiple markets or geographies Technical Skills Requirements • Controllership / Internal controls knowledge SOX based • Intermediate to Advanced PC skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required • Works effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, under pressure and with a high degree of professionalism • Team player with a focus on collaboration • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organization skills required • Demonstrated commitment to education and professional development • Ability to operate independently and navigate through change or uncertainty • Problem solving and analytical skills with a proactive management style to implement new processes • Possess a high degree of integrity and personal ethics in implementing corporate policies and procedures • Results oriented, sense of urgency, knows how to prioritize, ability to communicate and to create rapport with stakeholders, effective communication.
