The Manager, Global Shared Services Record to Report (RTR) Process, reports directly to the Director of Global Shared Services Center in support of its mission to leverage resources on a global scale through the use of shared services to reduce costs, maintain or increase customer service, and build new capabilities. Responsibilities include the delivery of Best In Class RTR processes in accordance with negotiated Service Level Agreements. The Manager of the Record to Report Process will implement and execute process strategies within the following broad functional areas:
- General Accounting, Reconciliations & Month-end – Ensure correct reporting of financial transactions to reflect company`s global financial position and timely financial reporting to meet management needs and company`s fiduciary responsibility to shareholders
- Fixed Assets – Accurately reflect the value of fixed assets on company`s financial records in accordance with GAAP and other regulatory guidance
- Intercompany Accounting – Manage financial reporting activities including reconciliation and matching of intercompany balances. As well as the accurate and timely recording and documentation of intercompany recharges.
- Cash Accounting – Ensure that cash balances are accurately stated and reconciled in a timely manner.
- Project Accounting – manage the recording of project expenditures in accordance with financial policies
- Financial Reporting – Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial data in accordance with agreed timelines
- Substantial working accounting knowledge including experience in general accounting, intercompany accounting, fixed assets and cash accounting Experience in leading monthly financial close processes
- Prior experience using SAP and working knowledge of US GAAP
- Excellent problem solving abilities with experience in process and quality analysis
- Strong written and oral communication skills; comfortable presenting to an Executive Level audience in both English and Spanish
- Ability to manage a large team including both direct and indirect reports
- Open to travel
- Proven leadership abilities, and collaborative leadership style with experience in developing and retaining staff
- Understanding the importance of training and employee development
- Familiarity with quality management systems, data driven root cause analysis and internal audit processing
- Process implementation experience including the establishment of plans and processes for accomplishing work and projects
- Knowledge and experience with SAP and other applicable software programs preferred.
- Strong influencing and leadership skills with the ability to challenge decisions & facilitate change.
- A proven ability to establish strong business partnerships with senior managers and operate successfully at a senior management level.
- Business and process knowledge and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Minimum of ten years professional accounting experience in progressively responsible roles.
- Minimum of 5 years experience working across one or more of the Record to Report process areas
- Minimum of 5 years management experience. (Preferably shared services).
- Proven experience building business relationships with all levels of the organization.
- B.S. degree in Accounting or equivalent required; CPA, CA; degree associated with process area a plus and MBA preferred.
