Senior android developer

Design, develop and test software applications for medical software products or other
software related products for implantable medical device products. Independently conducts
the work as part of a major research and/or development project. Can provide technical
oversight and direction on broad scope or complex projects. Viewed as an expert in one or
more in-house technologies.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain robust Android applications using Java and Kotlin
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, QA, and backend
engineering
• Implement and integrate BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) solutions and RESTful
APIs
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding
standards
• Develop and execute unit tests and integration tests to ensure application
quality
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement
initiatives
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and release processes

Key Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in mobile application development across Android and iOS
• Strong expertise in Android application development using Java and Kotlin
• Experience with modern Android architectures (MVVM, Clean Architecture)
• Hands-on experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) integration
• Familiarity with tools like Jetpack components, Compose, and dependency injection
frameworks (e.g., Hilt/Dagger)
• Solid understanding of RESTful services and API integration
• Proven experience in unit testing and integration testing
• Experience with Google Play Store deployment, including app signing, release
management, and compliance
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and compliance standards

Nice To Have
• Experience with iOS development (Swift/Objective-C)
• Familiarity with cross-platform frameworks such as Xamarin or .NET MAUI
• Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, medical devices,
fintech)
