As a Sr. Financial Analyst in VMware's Hybrid Cloud BU, you will support critical FP&A processes, collaborate with business partners, and assist with financial planning, modeling & analysis to help the organization achieve or exceed its goals.

Responsibilities

o Support the FP&A processes for Revenue and Renewals:
o Support and maintain Renewals “Install Base” model; populate with actuals data and produce ad hoc reporting as required
o Produce monthly reporting and analytics on vCloud Air platform usage
o Produce renewals weekly update for sales forecast calls showing bookings actuals plus forecast by Geo/Segment
o Support the production of monthly Revenue forecasts
? Maintain SPP Dashboard and report bookings and redemptions weekly
? Perform ad hoc analysis as required
o General variance analysis, investigation and commentary
• Develop, improve and maintain complex models to enable the team to:
o Produce accurate forecasts
o Assess and minimize risk exposure, discover or enhance opportunities and consider alternatives
o Deliver meaningful insights and yet simplify complex problems
o Provide effective decision support
• Create presentations to effectively deliver your results, recommendations and ideas.
• Work with cross-functional teams to improve current tools & processes, propose changes or implement new ones to improve quality of data; seek out best practices.
• Perform ad hoc requests for financial data and analysis.

Qualifications & Education Requirements:

? 3 years of experience as a business intelligence or financial analyst - preferably telecommunications, enterprise software or other high-tech company.
? Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including effective writing and presentation skills, collaborative work-style and ability to influence.
? Proficiency in quantitative modeling, multivariate analysis, and complex problem solving.
? Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and to produce reliable results amidst dynamic assumptions and rapidly evolving circumstances.
? Goal-oriented with successful track record; continuous improvement attitude.
? B.A. or B.S. in Business, Finance, or Accounting; an MBA preferred. Preference to those with technical undergraduate or prior experience in technical function.
