Senior systems administrator (remote)

We’re seeking an experienced IT professional to administer and support both cloud-based and on-premises systems, ensuring optimal performance through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution. You'll serve as a key escalation point for complex issues, analyze root causes of recurring problems, and implement long-term solutions. Responsibilities include managing identity and access policies, applying security updates, supporting endpoint devices via MDM, and driving automation to enhance operational efficiency. Participation in an on-call rotation and system outage response is required.

The role demands strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and documentation of system configurations and procedures. You'll also support business goals through continuous improvement of IT operations.

Candidates must have proven experience in systems, network, storage, and Azure cloud administration, with expert knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra, and authentication mechanisms. Advanced expertise is expected in Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint), Azure services (VMs, AKS, Monitor), virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and cybersecurity practices (EDR/XDR, firewalls, encryption). Proficiency in Microsoft Intune and scripting via PowerShell or Azure CLI is essential, along with a solid understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, ACLs, routing).

Preferred qualifications include experience with SolarWinds, ServiceNow, Linux, GoAnywhere MFT, and tools like Terraform. Relevant certifications include Microsoft Azure Administrator, Azure Network Engineer, Identity and Access Administrator, Windows Server Hybrid Admin, CompTIA Security+, and CKA.
