Supplier quality engineer i

About the role: On-site position/ 12 month contract

Key Responsibilities:
Assess potential new suppliers based on technical, quality, and manufacturing capabilities.
Provide technical support for new supplier qualification and component introduction.
Drive quality improvements and corrective actions for components sourced from external suppliers.
Support supplier selection and monitor supplier performance, corrective actions, manufacturing yield issues, and field failures.
Develop material acceptance criteria, component specifications, and incoming inspection procedures.
Develop test protocols, monitor testing activities, issue qualification test reports, and approve components for use in products.
Analyze incoming material defects, determine appropriate disposition, and drive corrective actions with suppliers.
Provide technical input to Design Engineering on new component technologies, quality, reliability, and component selection.
Review new design specifications from a component quality and manufacturability perspective.

Necessary requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or Licentiate degree in Industrial Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Biotechnology Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:
0–2 years of experience in a similar position or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably within the medical device industry.

English Level:
Advanced B2+ (written and spoken)

Desired Knowledge: ASQ certification (CQE, CRE, SSGB, SSBB, or CQM) strongly desired; problem-solving skills, networking, statistical analysis, and proficiency in Power BI or similar tools.
