At CGI, we are hiring an AS400 Mainframe Developer to work on an international project.

Requirements:
- Technical, technologist, or bachelor degree in IT, Software Engineering, or related fields.
- Conversational English (B2 or higher).
- Over 7 years of extensive experience with AS400/Mainframe systems.
- Expert knowledge in RPG (including RPG free-form), COBOL, CL, DB2, and other AS400/Mainframe technologies.
- Proven experience with the IBMi operating system and administration.
- Advanced SQL and database optimization skills.
- Experience in performance tuning and system optimization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience leading technical projects or development teams.
- Solid experience with AS400 RPGLE/SQL DB2, including working with and consuming web APIs.
- Methodical and analytical approach to solving complex problems.
- Proven troubleshooting skills, especially in identifying and resolving performance issues and bottlenecks.
- Ability to apply knowledge in designing scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain applications on AS400/Mainframe systems.
- Write, test, and debug programs in RPG, CL, and COBOL.
- Design and maintain DB2 databases and files.
- Implement batch processing jobs and interactive applications.
- Detect and resolve system issues.
- Optimize existing applications to improve performance and reliability.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Participate in system update and maintenance activities.

Nice to have:
- Knowledge of .NET development.
- Experience in modernizing legacy applications.
- Familiarity with web services, APIs, and integration patterns.
- Experience with RDi (Rational Developer for i).
- Knowledge of modern DevOps practices applied to legacy systems.
