Job Title: Cloud Migration Engineer – LATAM
Location: Bogotá, Colombia (On-site)

About the Role
We are looking for a Cloud Migration Engineer to support our cloud transformation projects across Latin America. This role is key to planning, designing, and executing cloud migration strategies, ensuring secure and seamless transitions for enterprise clients.

Key Responsibilities
1. Cloud Migration Planning & Design
- Support end-to-end cloud migration efforts for key LATAM projects.
- Conduct scenario-based assessments across platforms such as VMware, AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Design preliminary architectures including network, system, and security structures.
- Develop detailed technical designs including resource specifications, IP planning (CIDR/IP), and firewall ACL rules.
- Define migration scopes and strategies aligned with client business requirements.
- Identify opportunities for professional services within client engagements.

2. Execution & Troubleshooting
- Lead and execute various types of migration tasks including server, database, storage, and container migrations.
- Detect and resolve technical issues during all phases of migration.
- Ensure accurate business cutover, evaluating downtime, rollback, and contingency plans.

3. Technical Enablement & Customer Engagement
- Deliver training sessions for partners and customers on cloud technologies and tools.
- Provide consulting and technical leadership in migration methodologies, cloud adoption, and platform optimization.

Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field; equivalent experience also considered.

Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in cloud delivery, IT infrastructure, or cloud migration projects
- Strong background in infrastructure architecture, storage, networking, and cloud technologies.
- Advanced knowledge of Linux systems and scripting (Shell, Python).
- Proficiency in IT fundamentals: OS, networks, databases, server hardware, and web containers.
- Experience with KVM and general knowledge of OpenStack architecture and tools (Nova, Glance, Neutron).
- Understanding of TCP/IP protocols, routing, VPNs, and SDN concepts.
- Familiarity with distributed storage systems and the block/object storage.
- Proficient in Kubernetes (K8s), Docker, and K8s monitoring tools.
- Experience leading medium-scale public cloud migrations (AWS, Azure, GCP) — including Windows, Kubernetes, and host migrations.
- Knowledge of cloud migration tools and automation frameworks (Terraform, GitOps).
- Experience delivering training sessions or enablement programs for customers or partners.

Soft Skills
- Fluent in English and Spanish, both spoken and written
- Strong customer-facing communication skills; able to represent cloud solutions effectively in client environments.
- Capable of leading discussions with senior stakeholders on architecture, project trade-offs, risk mitigation, and best practices.
- Willingness to travel within the LATAM region as required.
