These people are the face of the
firm towards the client.
The only two things they can't do
are signing any documents or giving
legal advice (which is reserved to attorneys only).
Other than that, they do all the work and complete
management of the case.
The Case Manager works within a Pre-Litigation
Team as an advocate for the client with health care
and insurance providers and provides ongoing
support during the claim process.
The Case Manager also interacts regularly with
the Team Attorney to help build value for a client’s case.
The Case Manager provides exceptional customer
care, service and communication with compassion
and understanding, which helps establish and
strengthen client trust in the organization.

Common responsibilities:
Maintains client file with progress reports and
claim status, as well as complying with established
organizational structure.
Communicates with the client on a regular basis
about his or her case (at least once a month),
including updates on the claim process and
associated timeframes.
Supports the client by managing the processing
and payment of medical claims. Consults and
advises clients regarding loss wages claims and
credit issues. Assists the client by managing lien
process for providers against insurers.
(Some firms have a dedicated position for this
part of the process:
Lien Negotiators).
Responsible for problem resolution.
Consults with Team Attorney regarding claims
process and special, unusual or complex circumstances.
As required and under the direction of an attorney,
assists in the negotiation process for a client’s case.
Updates case management system at every stage
of the case, documenting all pertinent information
and communications.
Paralegals are the Case Managers for litigation, they
also help with drafting Sets of discovery, Complaints,
and other court related documents Hearing representatives:
Candidates must have at least 6 months of experience
in customer service
They will work with workers compensations
Sometimes cases are not that interesting, is not
changing the world kind of job so candidates must
understand this
