Requirements
Must have:
• Hands-on experience managing, migrating, and supporting Teradata platforms on bare-metal infrastructure
• Strong analytical thinking to lead critical migrations and ensure operational reliability
• At least 10 years of experience in Teradata installation, configuration, performance tuning, and support
• Ability to translate infrastructure and migration requirements into technical specifications
• Experience participating in meetings with infrastructure, networking, and storage teams to coordinate migration efforts
• Ability to execute data transfers, validate integrity, and integrate with other systems
• Experience performing all phases of migration and stabilization: planning, execution, monitoring, and post-go-live support
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in high-demand environments
Nice to have:
• Experience automating administrative tasks using shell scripting
• Familiarity with operational reliability, data integrity, and security best practices
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as GFSH, Pulse, JMX, Prometheus, and Logstash
• Experience supporting post-migration stabilization and operational adoption
Responsibilities
• Execute technical strategies for migrating Teradata environments from international data centers to bare-metal infrastructure
• Install, configure, and fine-tune Teradata systems on physical servers
• Perform data transfer, validation, and integration activities
• Monitor performance and resolve technical issues before, during, and after go-live
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, and storage teams to ensure system readiness
• Implement best practices for operational reliability, data integrity, and security
• Automate tasks for administration and continuous monitoring
• Document technical procedures, configurations, and migration processes
• Provide active support during post-migration stabilization and operational transition
