At CGI, we are looking for a Java Developer to join an international project.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
- Conversational English (B2 or higher).
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with Java (JDK 8+).
- Strong expertise in web services (RESTful/SOAP) development and integration.
- Solid understanding of database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) with strong SQL skills.
- Experience with object-oriented design and design patterns.
- Proficiency in version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
- GCP – Pub Sub, GKE.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications with an emphasis on scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Build and consume RESTful and/or SOAP web services.
- Work with relational databases to design schemas, write queries, and optimize performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (architecture, DevOps, QA, business stakeholders) to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, provide technical guidance, and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Contribute to system design decisions and recommend innovative solutions.
- Support cloud-native development and deployment, preferably in GCP (Pub Sub, GKE).

Nice to Have:
- Experience with the Quarkus framework.
- Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of microservices architecture.
