?? Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Modeller with 5+ years of experience to design and maintain scalable, high-quality data models on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You’ll play a key role in translating business requirements into robust data structures that support analytics, reporting, and machine learning initiatives.



?? Key Responsibilities

Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for cloud-native data platforms
Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and business analysts to understand data requirements and translate them into effective models
Develop models for GCP-native services including BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Firestore, and Dataplex
Ensure models support data quality, consistency, and performance optimization
Document data definitions, relationships, and metadata using modeling tools and GCP-native catalogs
Support ETL/ELT pipeline design by providing source-to-target mappings and transformation logic
Align data models with governance, privacy, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
Participate in data profiling, lineage tracking, and validation activities
Contribute to the development of data modeling standards and best practices
Collaborate with BI and ML teams to ensure models support downstream analytics


??? Required Skills & Qualifications

5+ years of experience in data modeling, preferably in cloud or hybrid environments
Strong understanding of relational, dimensional, and NoSQL modeling techniques
Hands-on experience with GCP services: BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Dataplex, Pub/Sub
Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with Python or other scripting languages
Experience with data modeling tools such as Erwin, PowerDesigner, or SQL Developer Data Modeler
Knowledge of data warehousing, data lakes, and lakehouse architectures
Familiarity with metadata management, data governance, and data quality frameworks
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
