Windows infrastructure engineer

Position: Senior Systems Engineer
Location: Bogotá
Work Mode: On-site (1 day WFH)
Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts between 8 AM - 8 PM
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: COP 12,000,000 – 15,000,000

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead administration, support, and optimization of Windows systems and infrastructure (all versions).
- Advanced management of Active Directory, Group Policies (GPO), Windows patch management, and automation with PowerShell.
- Provide hands-on expertise in VMware design, administration, and troubleshooting in high-availability (24x7) environments.
- Solid troubleshooting of systems and support of LAN, WAN, and VPN connectivity issues.
- Support and manage SonicWall Firewalls (experience with Fortinet firewalls is a strong plus).
- Networking fundamentals: subnetting, IP assignment, classless/class networking.
- Document physical and logical infrastructure and provide operational support.
- Work as a hands-on team member, actively supporting daily operations and projects.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Systems/Computer Engineering or related fields (or 8+ years of equivalent experience).
- Strong expertise in Windows infrastructure, VMware, Active Directory, and PowerShell.
- Proven experience with Windows Patch Management (all versions).
- Practical networking experience (subnetting, IP addressing, basic routing).
- Experience with SonicWall firewalls (Fortinet firewalls are a plus).
- Advanced English communication skills (written and spoken).
