The Finance Optimization & Automation Senior Analyst will lead process excellence, automation, digital transformation, and continuous improvement across GBS Finance Operations.

The role focuses on analyzing, redesigning, standardizing, optimizing, and automating finance processes across Order-to-Cash (O2C), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Record-to-Report (R2R), improving efficiency, scalability, controls, service quality, and stakeholder experience.

The position partners with Finance Operations, GBS Leadership, Digital Transformation, IT, and global stakeholders to implement technology-driven solutions and support a best-in-class Finance service delivery model.

Reports to: Head of Finance, GBS Americas

Key Responsibilities
Analyze, redesign, standardize, and continuously improve O2C, P2P, and R2R processes.
Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, process variations, and non-value-added activities.
Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and Operational Excellence methodologies.
Ensure alignment with internal controls, compliance, risk management, and audit requirements.
Optimize processes related to collections, billing, disputes, cash application, credit management, customer onboarding, vendor onboarding, invoice processing, approvals, payments, financial close, reconciliations, and reporting.
Identify and implement automation opportunities using Power Automate, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, and workflow technologies.
Partner with Finance Technology and IT teams on automation, integrations, and Low-Code/No-Code solutions.
Develop business cases and ROI assessments and monitor automation performance.
Identify and develop AI use cases across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Accounting, Financial Close, Reporting, and Shared Services.
Support solutions using Generative AI, AI Agents, Digital Assistants, and Predictive Analytics, ensuring responsible AI, security, compliance, and governance.
Define and monitor KPIs, SLAs, cycle times, productivity, quality, automation adoption, and stakeholder satisfaction.
Conduct root cause analysis and lead corrective and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with Finance Leaders, GBS Leaders, Business Controllers, IT, Digital Transformation, and regional stakeholders.
Facilitate workshops and support change management, communication, training, and adoption of new solutions.
Act as a trusted advisor on Finance Transformation, Process Excellence, Automation, and AI.
Requirements

Education

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related fields.

Additional education or certifications in Digital Transformation, Operational Excellence, Automation, AI, Data Analytics, Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or Agile are valued.

Experience

5–7 years of experience in Finance Operations, Shared Services, GBS, Process Excellence, Automation, Continuous Improvement, or Finance Transformation.
Experience supporting or optimizing O2C, P2P, and/or R2R processes.
Proven experience leading process redesign, automation, and transformation initiatives.
Experience in multinational, Shared Services, or GBS environments.
Exposure to AI, RPA, Finance Automation, or Digital Transformation is highly desirable.
Technical Knowledge
Finance: O2C, P2P, R2R, Shared Services, Financial Controls, and Reporting.
Process Excellence: Lean, Six Sigma, BPM, Process Reengineering, Value Stream Mapping, and Continuous Improvement.
Automation: Power Platform, Power Automate, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Intelligent Document Processing, Workflow Automation, and API Integrations.
AI: Generative AI, Prompt Engineering, AI Agents, Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, Conversational AI, and Responsible AI.
Data & Analytics: Power BI, Advanced Excel, Process Analytics, Data Visualization, KPI Design, and Finance Analytics.
Languages

English: Advanced / Fluent – C1 minimum mandatory.

The role requires frequent interaction with global stakeholders, international transformation initiatives, workshops, presentations, and coordination across multiple regions.
