What We're Looking For
Must-Have
• MBA in Business or Finance: CPA strongly preferred
• 5+ years of finance and accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership accounting role, preferably in a fintech or financial services environment
• Demonstrated experience owning a close process, managing staff accountants, and delivering financial reporting packages to leadership and investors
• Fluent English, written and verbal (you'll interface directly with U.S.-based CEO, investors, and board)
• Deep technical knowledge of loan accounting and lending economics, including NIM, loss- adjusted yield, cost of funds, borrowing base mechanics, and covenant management
• Experience with credit facilities and/or warehouse lines, including lender reporting and compliance
• Strong accounting fundamentals: GL management, reconciliations, internal controls, and technical accounting guidance on non-routine transactions
• Experience maintaining and updating financial models and rolling forecasts, with the ability to update assumptions and interpret outputs even if not building models from scratch
• Advanced Excel skills
• Proficiency in QuickBooks
• Demonstrated experience leading a junior accounting team, from hiring and onboarding through development and performance management
• High ownership mindset: you drive processes independently, acquire new skills quickly, and don't wait to be prompted.
