What will you do?
As a DATA Analyst Specialist, you will:
- Identify, explore, and assess datasets to understand available data, its location, usage, and potential issues.
- Analyze and interpret data, translating technical information into clear business insights for engineers, SMEs, and stakeholders.
- Map data flows and relationships across multiple systems, including legacy platforms, GCP, and Databricks.
- Evaluate data quality by identifying missing values, duplicates, errors, and inconsistencies, and support data cleansing activities.
- Support data management within the Medallion Architecture by profiling Bronze data, improving data quality in Silver, and validating business-ready Gold data.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand business requirements, data definitions, and business rules.
-Create reports and dashboards (e.g., Power BI) to communicate insights, project progress, and data readiness.

What do you need?
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree is considered an asset.
- 3 -5 years of experience in data analysis, with a focus on data discovery and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience exploring data and working with business users or SMEs
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

Technical Skills
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets.
- Some experience with Python (or a similar language) for basic data analysis is a plus.
- Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for reporting and dashboard creation.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
