Descripción del cargo

JOB OPPORTUNITY: SENIOR ACCOUNTANT (100% REMOTE)

Join a Panamanian accounting firm with operations in Panama and the United States, where your expertise will be key to leading strategic financial processes in a 100% remote and multicultural environment. This is a unique opportunity to grow professionally while contributing to high-impact projects across international markets.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Prepare and analyze financial statements under GAAP standards.
• Support the preparation of reports for the SEC (Forms 10-K, 10-Q).
• Execute monthly and annual closings, reconciliations, and maintain accurate records.
• Coordinate external audits and provide supporting documentation.
• Strengthen internal controls and financial processes.
• Generate ad-hoc reports and financial analyses to support strategic decision-making.
• Participate in budgeting and financial forecasting activities.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in public accounting.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP and proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for diverse team collaboration.
• CPA certification and SEC reporting experience are highly valued.

PREFERRED SKILLS
• Experience with Dynamics 7 or NetSuite.
• Background in the retail sector (consumer goods or supermarkets).
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Proficiency in Power BI.

KEY REQUIREMENTS
• Full bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish), both written and spoken.
• Ability to work with international teams and handle technical documentation.
• Availability to work according to the U.S. business calendar, including holidays and reporting
cycles.
