Gracias por haberte postulado a la oferta de empleo Technical operations engineer (sre / qa /data), en Seligo sas.
Salary: $2.500 USD (Negotiables)
Modality: Remote 100% LATAM
About Us:
This company provides real estate investors with leads on high-quality, motivated sellers, and we are expanding into the home services sector. We are a discreet yet large company that participated in 50% of off-market home sales in the last 12 months. We move quickly, are data-driven, and care about results. No red tape. No unnecessary processes. If you need a lot of meetings to achieve your goals, this isn't the place. If you want to build something real and see the impact of your work in days rather than months or quarters, this is it.
Role:
We're looking for a generalist technician. Someone who can seamlessly move between reliability engineering, quality assurance, data integrity, and technical support, without needing to be told which role to play. You'll be responsible for keeping our systems observable, our integrations seamless, and our data reliable, using AI tools as a strategic resource, not a crutch. This isn't a narrow role: if something is technical and broken, slow, or unclear, it's probably your responsibility to fix it.
Responsibilities
- Monitor system health and lead incident response. Detect problems before they become major issues and perform clean, rapid post-incident fixes when they don't.
- Develop and maintain automation, alerting, and observability tools to reduce manual work across the team.
- Ensure data integrity across all major tools (CRM, customer portal, product analytics) by investigating and resolving discrepancies before they escalate.
- Create dashboards and reports that allow non-technical team members to find answers on their own instead of having to contact the engineering team.
- Use AI tools daily to move faster, but verify them, question them, and correct them when they make mistakes; you are responsible for the outcome, not the model.
Requirements
- Practical experience in at least two of the following areas: SRE/DevOps, quality assurance automation, data operations, or technical support.
- Practical proficiency in AWS, Terraform, Datadog (or a comparable monitoring toolset) and Cypress or another test automation framework.
- Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript or Python, and confidence in writing and reading SQL/NoSQL queries (experience with MongoDB is a plus).
- Experience in maintaining clean and synchronized data in CRM, payments, and support tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to explain a technical problem to a non-technical person in simple and concise language.
- Fluid and reflective use of AI tools: they are used to think faster and review one's own work, not to avoid thinking.
- Preference for action over process. You are comfortable taking on ambiguous problems with minimal supervision.
Results
- In your first 90 days, success looks like this:
- Fewer recurring incidents, because you have automated the manual checks that previously detected them late.
- A noticeable decrease in tickets of the type "why is the data incorrect?", because you have found and corrected the root causes.
- Control panels and tools that allow other teams to answer their own questions without needing to open a ticket.
- The team trusts you to solve ambiguous and undefined problems because you have demonstrated that you can find the right solution without much help.
