Join our team as a Ruby Engineering Director to lead and shape the strategic direction of our Ruby development initiatives. In this high-impact role, you will oversee multiple development teams, drive innovation, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality Ruby applications. Your leadership will be crucial in aligning technical strategies with business objectives and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

What you will do:

- Develop and implement the overall technical strategy for Ruby development projects, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals and vision.
- Oversee multiple teams of Ruby developers, providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Manage the entire development lifecycle of Ruby applications, from initial concept through to deployment and maintenance.
- Establish and enforce best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines across all Ruby development projects.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in Ruby development, evaluating and incorporating new technologies and methodologies to enhance project outcomes.
- Collaborate with senior management, product owners, and other stakeholders to align Ruby development strategies with business objectives.
- Address and resolve complex technical challenges, making critical decisions on architecture and design.
- Promote a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and technical excellence within the development teams.
- Manage budgets, resources, and vendor relationships related to Ruby development projects and tools.

Here’s what we are looking for:

- 10+ years of experience with Ruby.
- Strong background in software architecture design.
- Strong understanding of system security.
- In-depth knowledge of memory management and performance optimization.
- Experience in designing and integrating distributed and scalable solutions, particularly in cloud environments
- Skilled in relational and non-relational databases.
- Ability to choose between different architectures/technologies, understanding the pros and cons of each.
- Expert in managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Advanced level of English
