The Business Analyst plays a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making by developing Power BI dashboards, advanced Excel models, and scalable reporting solutions. This role collaborates with stakeholders to gather requirements, define key performance indicators (KPIs), and translate business needs into accurate, reliable, and user-friendly analytics that support financial, operational, and strategic priorities.
In addition, the Business Analyst ensures data integrity across reporting tools by optimizing data sources and visualizations for performance and scalability. The role provides ad hoc analysis to address complex business questions, supports strategic initiatives, and drives adoption of analytics tools through training and user support. Success in this role requires strong analytical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate insights clearly within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI, ensuring outputs are intuitive, visually compelling, and aligned with business needs.
• Build, enhance, and maintain advanced Excel models to support financial, operational, and performance analysis, enabling data-driven decision-making.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to gather and document requirements, define key performance indicators (KPIs), and translate business needs into scalable and actionable reporting solutions.
• Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of data across all reporting tools by implementing validation checks, governance standards, and best practices.
• Optimize data models, data sources, and visualizations to improve performance, scalability, and usability of reporting solutions.
• Perform in-depth and ad hoc analyses to address complex business questions, identify trends, and support strategic and operational initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, data quality, and overall analytics capabilities, driving continuous improvement across the function.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with data governance, security, and compliance standards across all reporting activities.
• Train, guide, and support business users in the effective use and adoption of Power BI and reporting tools, promoting a self-service analytics culture.
• Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders by clearly communicating insights, trends, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in reporting, analytics, or business intelligence roles.
• Advanced expertise in Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, publishing, and administration.
• Expert-level proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and data modeling techniques.
• Strong analytical mindset with a high level of attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Experience working with data governance, security, and compliance standards.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical insights into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience integrating Power BI with ERP systems or other enterprise data sources.
• Proficiency in SQL for data querying, preparation, and analysis.
• Understanding of data warehousing and ETL concepts.
• Experience with automation tools such as Power Automate.
• Background in finance, accounting, or shared services environments is preferred.
• Bilingual English and Spanish, with strong problem-solving, communication, and adaptability skills.
