WSP is seeking three experienced Civil 3D Water & Wastewater Modeler / CAD Designer to join our Global Delivery Team in WSP Colombia office. In this role, you will provide dedicated support to our Water & Wastewater team in Vancouver, Canada, contributing to the planning, design, and delivery of municipal infrastructure projects across Western Canada.

As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for developing Civil 3D models, engineering drawings, utility layouts, and construction documentation for water, wastewater, and drainage infrastructure projects. You will collaborate closely with engineers, BIM specialists, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, coordinated design solutions from concept through detailed design and construction.

This position offers the opportunity to work on complex infrastructure projects while leveraging advanced digital delivery tools and industry-leading BIM/CAD practices within a global engineering environment.

· Develop and maintain Civil 3D models and engineering drawings for water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects.

· Produce plans, profiles, sections, grading designs, utility layouts, and construction documentation using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

· Design and model:

o Water transmission and distribution systems

o Sanitary sewer networks

o Force mains and pressure pipe networks

o Stormwater and drainage systems

o Pump stations and lift stations

o Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) chambers

o Valve chambers, meter chambers, and utility structures

o Water and wastewater treatment facilities

· Prepare detailed pipe network plans, profiles, and associated utility design deliverables.

· Coordinate designs with civil, structural, process, mechanical, electrical, and BIM disciplines.

· Perform utility conflict resolution, interference checks, and design coordination activities.

· Support the creation of IFC, Tender, and Issued-for-Construction drawing packages in accordance with WSP BIM/CAD standards.

· Utilize Autodesk ReCap and InfraWorks for reality capture, existing conditions modeling, and conceptual design development.

· Collaborate with project teams in Vancouver and participate in multidisciplinary design reviews and coordination meetings.

· Support continuous improvement of BIM/CAD standards, templates, and digital delivery practices.


What You'll Bring to WSP

· Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.

· 5-10 years of experience in municipal infrastructure drafting, design, and modeling using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

· Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D, including:

o Surface modeling

o Alignments and profiles

o Pipe networks

o Grading design

o Corridors

o Utility and site design

· Extensive experience in water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects.

· Strong expertise in developing gravity and pressure pipe networks for:

o Water distribution systems

o Sanitary sewer systems

o Force mains

o Storm drainage systems

o Conveyance infrastructure

· Experience preparing detailed design drawings and construction packages for:

o Water transmission mains

o Distribution networks

o Sanitary sewer systems

o Stormwater infrastructure

o Pump stations and lift stations

o Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) chambers

o Utility chambers and appurtenances

o Water Treatment Plants (WTP)

o Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP/STP)

· Strong understanding of utility coordination, underground infrastructure layouts, and municipal design standards.

· Experience working in multidisciplinary environments and coordinating with structural, process, mechanical, electrical, and BIM teams.

· Working knowledge of Autodesk ReCap, InfraWorks, and digital engineering workflows.

· Understanding of Revit, BIM processes, model coordination, and integrated project delivery methodologies.

· Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360, ProjectWise, or similar Common Data Environments.

· Experience preparing design documentation in accordance with Canadian municipal and infrastructure design standards.

· Ability to interpret engineering calculations, specifications, reports, and design criteria and convert them into high-quality design deliverables.

· Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
