Communication Specialist - Communications Services Delivery Hub

The Communication Specialist is part of the Communications Services Delivery Hub, WSP's global communications delivery function supporting internal, corporate, and local communications teams. Reporting to the Director, Communications Services Delivery Hub, this role contributes to the development and delivery of clear, consistent, and brand-aligned content, primarily for internal communications.

This position supports internal communications initiatives by creating, editing, and adapting content that promotes organizational priorities, employee engagement, and global alignment. The role operates within a structured service model and collaborates with communications partners across regions and business lines.

This opportunity is designed for an early- to mid-career communications professional with strong writing and editing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within established frameworks, processes, and brand standards.

Key Responsibilities
Content Development and Execution
Draft, edit, and proofread internal communications content, including announcements, leadership messages, updates, and campaign materials.
Adapt content to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with WSP’s corporate voice and brand standards.
Translate complex or technical information into clear, accessible messaging for internal audiences.
Service Delivery and Collaboration
Support corporate, regional, and local communications teams by delivering communications requests within agreed timelines and service standards.
Collaborate with Communications Business Partners and Hub team members to produce high-quality communications outputs.
Participate in intake, review, and approval processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established governance.
Global Consistency and Brand Alignment
Apply editorial standards, templates, and style guidelines consistently across deliverables.
Ensure messaging supports global alignment while remaining adaptable to regional and functional needs.
Contribute to a cohesive internal communications experience across platforms and regions.
Process Improvement
Work within defined workflows, tools, and service models used by the Communications Services Delivery Hub.
Identify opportunities to improve templates, content approaches, and delivery processes.
Support documentation of best practices and knowledge-sharing activities.
Scope and Complexity
Operates with moderate autonomy on defined assignments and deliverables.
Manages multiple communications requests simultaneously, escalating risks or issues when required.
Applies professional judgment within established guidelines and frameworks.

Corporate, regional, and local communications teams
Internal subject matter experts and functional leaders, as required
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
University degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
3-4 years of professional experience in internal, corporate, or organizational communications.
Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and content development skills.
High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work effectively in a structured, process-driven environment.
Experience collaborating across cultures, time zones, and functional teams.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and digital collaboration tools.
