The role focuses on managing collections for assigned accounts to reduce delinquency and maximize recovery while delivering excellent customer service. Key responsibilities include:
Collections Management: Execute daily phone-based collection activities for various credit products (auto loans, credit cards, mortgages, SMEs, leasing), aiming to negotiate payment commitments and rehabilitate accounts.
Customer Service: Provide professional, ethical, and solution-oriented support to clients, ensuring a positive experience while meeting quantitative and qualitative targets.
Analysis & Compliance: Review account information, monitor productivity metrics, and adhere to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management standards.
Team Collaboration: Promote best practices, participate in coaching sessions, and contribute to a healthy, high-performance work environment.
Regulatory & Risk Compliance: Ensure all actions comply with corporate policies, local regulations, and Scotiabank’s risk appetite framework.
Requirements:
High school diploma (required); university studies in business, finance, or related fields (preferred).
Minimum 6 months of experience in collections or call center.
Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office; familiarity with banking products and collection policies (desirable).
