Bookkeeper

About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Bookkeeper based in Colombia to support our client’s financial operations. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring the overall integrity of financial data. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with international teams.

Key Responsibilities
Record day-to-day financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial statements.
Maintain orderly financial filing systems and documentation.
Assist in preparing financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash-flow reports.
Monitor expenses and assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Collaborate with accountants, finance teams, and management to ensure financial accuracy.

Requirements
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounting Assistant, or similar role.
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP preferred).
Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms.
Advanced Excel skills.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
Good communication skills in English (written and verbal).
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
