General Manager – Multi-Category Distribution - Beauty Categories

Role Purpose
We are seeking a General Manager to lead the overall growth, profitability, and long-term sustainability of a multi-category distribution company, operating across categories such as beauty and personal care, consumer electronics, home products, and other FMCG segments.
This role will be responsible for driving commercial performance, expanding physical and digital sales channels, optimizing the supply chain (imports, logistics, and distribution), strengthening relationships with international suppliers and key customers, and ensuring a scalable, efficient, and results-driven operation.
The ideal candidate combines strategic vision, strong execution, financial discipline, and a digital mindset.
**Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Business Development
- Define and execute short-, mid-, and long-term growth strategies.
- Lead portfolio diversification and optimization across categories and brands.
- Identify new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and brand representations.
- Align local strategy with global consumer, retail, and e-commerce trends.
- Ensure profitability by category, channel, and customer.
Commercial Management & Sales Channels
- Lead B2B, B2C, retail, wholesale, and digital sales strategies.
- Define commercial policies: pricing, margins, promotions, and incentives.
- Negotiate with key accounts, retail chains, marketplaces, and regional distributors.
- Monitor sell-in / sell-out performance, inventory rotation, and market coverage.
- Drive e-commerce growth within an omnichannel strategy.
Imports, Operations & Supply Chain
- Oversee import processes, regulatory compliance, and logistics partners.
- Optimize supply chain performance, lead times, inventory levels, and logistics costs.
- Ensure efficient warehousing, distribution, and cross-docking operations.
- Implement operational KPIs (OTIF, fill rate, inventory turnover, logistics costs).
- Coordinate operations with international suppliers and manufacturers.
Marketing & Digital Strategy
- Lead, together with the marketing team, a 360° marketing strategy by category and channel.
- Drive brand management and positioning strategies.
- Lead digital marketing, performance marketing, social media, and trade marketing initiatives.
- Measure and optimize ROI of marketing campaigns and commercial activations.
- Ensure brand consistency across channels and customer touchpoints.
Financial Management & Analytics
- Full ownership of P&L and overall budgeting.
- Analyze financial statements, cash flow, and profitability by business unit.
- Drive data-based decision-making and financial discipline.
- Implement and leverage BI tools, dashboards, and executive reporting.
- Present results, forecasts, and strategic plans to Executive Management and the Board.
Leadership & Talent Management
- Lead commercial, operational, logistics, and administrative teams.
- Build a high-performance, execution-driven culture.
- Define and track KPIs across functions.
- Develop internal talent and scalable organizational structures.
- Lead change management and organizational growth initiatives.
**Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, International Business, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
- MBA or postgraduate studies in management, finance, or supply chain are a plus.
Professional Experience
- Minimum 5 years in general management, commercial, or operational leadership roles.
- Proven experience in distribution, FMCG, retail, or multi-category businesses.
- Strong knowledge of imports, international logistics, and supply chain management.
- Experience leading digital channels and e-commerce operations.
- Proven track record of driving growth, profitability, and team leadership.
