Requirements

Must have:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Statistics, or related fields, with a Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or related disciplines.
(A Master’s degree may be substituted by 3 additional years of relevant experience).
10+ years of experience in Data Architecture and/or Data Engineering roles.
At least 1 year of hands-on experience with the following technologies:
SQL
Python
PySpark
Java
Distributed Computing
ETL and ELT processes
Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale data platforms and distributed data processing solutions.
Certifications (at least one required):

Microsoft Azure

Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (Nice to have)
Databricks

Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate or Professional
Amazon Web Services (AWS)

AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional (Nice to have)
Nice to have:

Experience working in multi-cloud or hybrid data environments
Advanced knowledge of cloud-based data lakes and data warehouses
Experience with real-time and batch data processing
Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance frameworks
Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures.
Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using cloud-native and distributed technologies.
Lead the development of data platforms on Azure, AWS, or Databricks.
Ensure data quality, reliability, performance, and cost optimization.
Collaborate with analytics, data science, and business teams to enable data-driven solutions.
Define best practices, standards, and reference architectures for data engineering.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineering teams.
Document data architectures, pipelines, and operational processes.
